4 Days Samburu & Lake Nakuru Safari


Depart Nairobi at 0700hrs through the Kenya highlands vast plantations of tea, coffee, pineapples and subsistence farmlands.

The semi-arid area of Samburu game reserve is in the remote region of the Northern Kenya. Lake Nakuru National Park is located in the rift valley region. It is a home to vast of greater and less flamingoes among other different bird species and big game such as rhinos, leopard, lion, zebra, buffalo, antelope, hyena, among others.

Day 01: Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve.

Depart Nairobi at 0700hrs and drive Northwards to Samburu Game Reserve through Mt. Kenya and past Coffee plantations. Lunch at the camp on arrival and game drive en-route in search of the rare reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich, all of which are rare in other game parks. (Approximately 330 Kilometers - 6 hours)

Day 02: Samburu National Reserve.

Morning and evening game drives in Samburu Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing.

Samburu National Reserve is a home to the third of Kenya's giraffe species - the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope.

Day 03: Samburu - Lake Nakuru National Park.

Breakfast at 0630hrs; leave Camp/Lodge with game drive en-route. Drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley for lake Nakuru through the Thompson Falls.

Accommodation at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge - 4 star Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge- 4 Star. 

Day 04: Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi.

Breakfast at 0630hrs then proceed for game drive in Lake Nakuru national park, the ornithologists' paradise with over four hundred bird spices and also known as a the pink lake due to the thousands of flamingoes that inhabit the Lake.

Lake Nakuru is a home to Waterbucks, Rhinos, warthogs Thomson's Gazelles, three climbing Lions, hyraxes and countless baboons hippos.

Depart for Nairobi after lunch arriving in the evening.
